Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Realstar. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our residential properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Property Maintenance
    • Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address any maintenance issues.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, repairs, and replacements of equipment and fixtures.
    • Ensure that all systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, are functioning properly.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, responding to their maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
    • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and contractors to ensure that maintenance needs are met.
  • Fire Safety and Emergency Procedures
    • Ensure that all fire safety and emergency procedures are followed, including regular fire drills and maintenance of fire safety equipment.
    • Develop and implement emergency response plans to ensure the safety of residents and staff.
  • Cleaning and Grounds Maintenance
    • Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of common areas, including lobbies, hallways, and amenities.
    • Ensure that the property's grounds are well-maintained, including landscaping, snow removal, and waste management.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as property management or maintenance.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance or property management.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Basic computer skills and knowledge of maintenance software.
    • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, and to work in a fast-paced environment.
