The Communications, Policy and Change Initiatives (CPCI) Branch leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Yukon government's approach to internal communications, corporate human resources policies, legislation, regulation, strategic planning, and project initiatives such as the People Plan.

CPCI is seeking a creative and client-oriented individual who is passionate about improving the workplace experience for all Yukon government employees.

You will work with human resources and communications teams across the government to help PSC promote and communicate its programs and services using a variety of online and traditional communications methods. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of communications projects and develop your skills in areas such as media relations, speech writing, and developing content for websites, newsletters, blogs and social media. As part of your role, you will also be responsible for planning and executing two prestigious recognition events: the Premier's Awards and the Long Service Awards.

Education in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, social sciences, or related discipline. Experience with research, development and implementation of communication and marketing strategies. Experience developing communications materials (news releases, communications strategies, reports, website content, etc.). Experience engaging with client groups on projects/initiatives and providing recommendations. Experience with event organization and management would be considered an asset.

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
