This is an exciting opportunity to join Yukon University as an Institutional Research Analyst. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the university's commitment to public accountability through the provision of reports, data, and key performance metrics that track the advancement of our Strategic Plan, Becoming.
About Institutional ResearchInstitutional Research is a vital unit that gathers, analyzes, and provides data and reports to support evidence-based planning and decision-making. As a business intelligence resource for the institution, we provide key performance metrics, analytics, and system-level comparisons to support Yukon University's measurement and accountability at the territorial level and across the national post-secondary sector.
Responsibilities- Oversee the collection, modeling, analysis, interpretation, reporting, and dissemination of information to allow key stakeholder groups to predict, monitor, and evaluate performance on key institutional initiatives in alignment with Yukon University's Strategic Plan and its affiliated planning documents.
- Build a comprehensive and ongoing culture of institutional data collection, analysis, management, and dissemination in support of planning and decision-making at all levels of university operations, particularly those related to public accountability, budget and finance, external rankings, and institutional effectiveness.
- Coordinate and prepare planning and resource materials for governance and decision-making groups of the university, including the Board of Governors, President Executive Committee, and Senior Executive Committee, as well as external stakeholder groups.
- Provide data and information and official statistics for both internal and external reporting in a manner that is appropriate to the audience and circumstances at hand.
- Master's degree in a related field (Information Systems, Business Intelligence, Business Analytics) or Master's degree with demonstrated experience in working with data for status indicators and assessment, planning, and decision-making.
- Experience with multiple data indicators, sources, and platforms (including Power BI) for business intelligence reporting and data visualization.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize complex data sets and communicate critical information to the appropriate stakeholders.
