A Corporate Financial Analyst role is open at Northwestel, reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Finance, Budgeting & Reporting. This position entails assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and the preparation of monthly financial reports. The successful candidate will possess robust analytical capabilities and the aptitude to deliver precise reporting and insights to upper management. Additionally, the role includes coordinating budgeting and forecasting initiatives, facilitating interdepartmental communication, and offering Business Decision Support. Candidates should hold a diploma or degree in business, commerce, or finance, along with an accounting designation recognized in Canada. Proficiency in Excel is essential, alongside strong interpersonal, communication, and research skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver timely, accurate, and pertinent financial data to aid in decision-making processes
- Develop and oversee financial forecasting models
- Assist budget managers and subsidiaries as required
- Prepare variance reports and analyses for senior leadership
- Support year-end forecasts and internal accounting functions
