Job Summary: Retail Store Manager

Lead a team of retail professionals to achieve sales goals, manage store operations, and maintain a positive customer experience.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Model and deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive company image at all times.
  • Set and achieve the highest standards of retail execution, working with the Team Leader to achieve cost, margin, expense, and labor targets.
  • Follow through on all customer questions and requests, resolving concerns as needed, and working with the Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues.
  • Evaluate and document Team Member work performance, providing timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations.
  • Function as point person and departmental person in charge in the absence of the Team Leader, consistently communicating and modeling WFM vision and goals.
  • Foster and encourage a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale, maintaining awareness of customer flows and needs.
  • Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members in a manner that sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
  • Manage inventory, monitor profitability, and maintain awareness of new products, demonstrating advanced product knowledge and a growth mindset.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve sales, customer satisfaction, and team performance, working collaboratively with the Team Leader and other store leaders.

  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures, with proficiency in email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications.
  • Strong decision-making ability, leadership skills, and ability to prioritize and delegate, with a focus on achieving sales goals and maintaining a positive customer experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on customer satisfaction, team performance, and sales growth.
Experience:
  • 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience, with a proven track record of success in leading teams and achieving sales goals.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, and bending.
  • Ability to work in a wet and cold environment, with exposure to temperatures below 32 degrees Fahrenheit and above 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

  • Competitive hourly wage range: $20.00 - $35.00, commensurate with experience.
