Warranty Claims Specialist

At SMS Equipment, we are seeking a highly skilled Warranty Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for managing warranty claims and ensuring compliance with our quality system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage claims files and analyze warranty claim work orders to produce claims according to manufacturers' deadlines.
- Produce complete files and submit claims to manufacturers, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Analyze and respond to warranty requests from internal and external customers, adhering to company procedures and policies.
- Update manufacturers' modification programs (Factory Campaigns) and assist managers in analyzing warranty support requests outside warranty periods.
- Follow up on claims while analyzing manufacturers' refusals and/or partial credits, and assist the Technical Department as needed.
- Comply with company health and safety regulations and perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Bilingual, written and spoken, with 90% of work produced in English (American manufacturers).
- Excellent knowledge of the Internet, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and Adobe PDF.
- Comfortable working with different databases, analytical thinking, and excellent customer service skills.
- Team player with the ability to set priorities, DES or DEP in administration, or equivalent experience deemed relevant.
- Minimum of five years' experience in a similar position in the heavy equipment or related field would be an asset.
