**Senior Reinsurance Underwriter - Hybrid Solutions**

Seeking a seasoned underwriter to lead new and renewal underwriting of Managing General Agents and Automatic Facultative accounts, with a focus on property, general liability, and excess liability.

**About the Role:**

We are looking for a highly experienced underwriter to join our hybrid solutions underwriting team. This position will report to the Head of Canadian Hybrid Solutions and will be based out of Toronto, Canada office on a hybrid work schedule.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Develop and cultivate new and existing carrier and reinsurance broker relationships to maintain an opportunity pipeline that will lead to the achievement of department premium and production goals.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service to internal and external customers.
• Contribute to specific Performance Plans assigned to the Hybrid division to reach projected premium and profitability goals.
• Collaborate with all functional areas of the company, including claims, accounting, contract wording, and actuarial to support company objectives.
• Maintain awareness of competitor capabilities and strategies, market trends in the insurance and reinsurance marketplace.
• Attend industry conferences and meetings as necessary.
• Travel as required to achieve the above.
• Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree or above and insurance certifications or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of Canadian Property/Casualty underwriting experience, including automobile, financial lines, and other specialty lines.
• Reinsurance experience is a plus.
• Knowledge or experience with Managing General Agents or portfolio underwriting.
• Experience with auditing property and casualty accounts.
• Ability to stay organized within a fast-paced, team-oriented, and dynamic work environment.
• Knowledge of catastrophe modeling and data requirements for detailed analysis.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong relationship management and business development skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Good computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Excel.
