About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Treaty Underwriter to join our team at SCOR. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of property and casualty treaty underwriting for Canadian insurers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and structure treaty reinsurance programs in accordance with SCOR guidelines.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with actuaries to evaluate and negotiate pricing.
  • Perform underwriting audits at current and potential clients to ensure compliance with SCOR guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to drive business growth.
  • Provide regular reporting and account management to SCOR Underwriting Management and SCOR Canada management.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the (re)insurance industry, with a focus on primary underwriting and/or reinsurance brokerage.
  • Strong underwriting education or experience, with a background in finance, actuarial science, economics, or risk management.
  • Proven leadership abilities and excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and deliver in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Bilingual in French is a plus.
