Senior Accounting Clerk

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for carrying out assigned functional accounting and maintaining the integrity of information within the accounting subsystem in Accounts Payable.
The successful candidate will respond to and serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors, ensuring that the principles and practices that guide Nova Scotia Health are integrated within the support provided by the work they do and through the messages they deliver.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a graduate degree in a recognized post-secondary business program with an emphasis in Accounting, and a minimum of three years of recent and related experience in a computerized SAP Accounts Payable environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, expert knowledge of Accounts Payable, and a strong skill set in Microsoft Excel. They will also possess excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, as well as the ability to use general office equipment and accounting software.
Hours and CompensationThis is a permanent, full-time position with a 70-hour bi-weekly schedule. The successful candidate will be compensated at a rate of $31.15 per hour.
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
