Job Title: Senior Sales Manager

Location: Head Office - Winnipeg, or Remote

This role is responsible to provide traditional and digital eCommerce sales and customer service guidance, training and coaching to General Managers, Sales Reps and Location Logistics Coordinators across Canada to drive G3's profitable grain origination and achieve overall financial results by employing combined traditional and newly developed digital procurement and sales methods and tools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coaches to enhance sales and customer service, including traditional sales processes with an emphasis on leveraging digital procurement methods, tools and channels to achieve the Company's sales budgets and objectives.
  • Influences and enables the Sales Reps, Location Logistics and location General Managers to accomplish profitable growth. Coaches and takes appropriate corrective action where necessary to achieve team and individual budgets/objectives.
  • Identifies sales techniques and gathers input from relevant internal stakeholders that should be leveraged to achieve G3 sales budgets and objectives.
  • Communicates the actions needed to implement the sales strategy and business plan as well as the relationship to the Company's values.
  • Reports on key sales metrics.
  • Assists with providing robust sales training programs and peering sessions to ensure teams are trained and coached in the Company's traditional and digital eCommerce customer service, sales and grain origination techniques.
  • Directly engages teams on effective utilization of CRM, Customer Analytics, Business Intelligence, Customer Portal and other procurement tools.
  • Acts as a liaison and facilitates/supports the ongoing relationships between the network of rural grain origination facilities and the Trading department.
  • Supports, as a subject expert, the legacy system usage such as internal contracting systems, CRM, Customer Analytics, Business Intelligence tools, Customer Portal, and other procurement systems. Recommends enhancements that will increase sales.
  • Ensures that General Managers, Sales Reps and Location Logistics Coordinators are fully versed in G3's sales training programs and sales management processes that are targeted for customers.
  • Provides input for the development of marketing and communication tools that support grain contracting.
  • Responsible for Sales Rep Trainee Program as well as the Sales and Customer Service training tools.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Extensive knowledge of traditional and digital eCommerce sales and customer service, combined with an entrepreneurial aptitude that has resulted in identification and realization of profitable business opportunities.
  • Knowledge of the interdependencies of traditional and digital eCommerce sales effectiveness and process.
  • Proven sales leadership managing complex and geographically dispersed teams and ability to drive collaboration and relationships with peers, functions, support roles and customers via virtual channels.
  • Extensive experience in coaching individuals and teams and ability to lead and effectively manage teams using virtual coaching channels such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated collaborative approach to working with teams.
  • Can work independently and self-motivate and plan their schedules to achieve yearly objectives.
  • Approximately 20% travel required.
  • Agriculture experience not required.
