Recreation Aide

Casa Mia Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recreation Aide to join our team at Braddan Private Hospital, Point Grey Private Hospital in Vancouver, B.C.

About the Role
  • Carry out established recreation programs, including outings, exercises, crafts, social events, entertainment, games, and more.
  • Assist residents with mobility and provide personal care during recreational activities as needed.
  • Observe, report, and document any changes in residents to the supervisor and/or nurse.
  • Maintain recreational equipment and supplies in a safe, clean, and efficient manner, and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, meetings, committees, and educational in-services as required.
  • Assist with the orientation of new residents.
Requirements
  • Graduate from a recognized Activity/Recreation Certificate or diploma program.
  • Experience in a senior's focused recreation department is an asset.
  • Basic First Aid Certificate (current).
  • Food Safe Course or equivalent (current).
  • Proof of COVID vaccination.
