Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with the scope of practice
- Provide compassionate and individualized care to patients and their families
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum of 1 year emergency department experience
- Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Practical Nursing Diploma
- Phlebotomy Certificate
- Physical Assessment Course
- Basic computer skills, including the Order Entry module of Meditech
