Associate Producer/Technician (French Services)

At CBC/Radio-Canada, we're seeking a dynamic individual to join our Ottawa Production and Resources team as an Associate Producer/Technician with a specialization in audio mixing. This role is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the creation of high-quality audio experiences for our listeners.

About the Role
  • Provide live monitoring and mixing of radio broadcasts to ensure a consistent, high-quality audio level.
  • Manage audio equipment and resolve technical issues in real-time to ensure seamless broadcasts.
  • Prepare and mix sound elements, including jingles, sound effects, and pre-recorded segments, to enhance the overall audio experience.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure audio supports the show's objectives and enhances the listening experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide live monitoring and mixing of radio broadcasts.
  • Maintain a consistent, high-quality audio level during broadcasts.
  • Manage audio equipment and resolve technical issues in real time.
  • Prepare and mix sound elements, including jingles, sound effects, and pre-recorded segments.
  • Make audio adjustments and edits to ensure clarity and consistency of broadcasts.
Requirements
  • Community college diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingualism (English/French).
  • Four (4) or more years' relevant experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a tight-deadline environment.
  • Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive.
  • High degree of independence in managing priorities and ongoing projects.
  • Strong ability to adapt and manage change.
