Neonatologist (0.5 FTE) - Academic Opportunity

The IWK Health Centre is seeking a part-time neonatologist to join our team of academic neonatologists. As a neonatologist at our institution, you will provide clinical care as part of an interdisciplinary team in our 40-bed combined Level II/III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in the NICU, working collaboratively with obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in academic activities, including research, education, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines.
- Collaborate with other departments and services to ensure seamless patient care.
- MD degree (or equivalent) from an accredited university.
- Completed recognized specialty training and certification in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (or equivalent).
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the Province of Nova Scotia.
- Strong academic and research background, with a demonstrated potential for future contributions.
The IWK Health Centre is an academic tertiary care pediatric and maternal care hospital, serving as the main perinatal centre for Nova Scotia and the pediatric referral centre for the Maritime Provinces. Our institution offers a rich source of population-based data for clinical audits and research projects, as well as opportunities for educational contributions, including our Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Residency Program.
