About the Role

The IWK Health Centre is seeking a part-time neonatologist to join our team of academic neonatologists. As a neonatologist at our institution, you will provide clinical care as part of an interdisciplinary team in our 40-bed combined Level II/III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in the NICU, working collaboratively with obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in academic activities, including research, education, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other departments and services to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • MD degree (or equivalent) from an accredited university.
  • Completed recognized specialty training and certification in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (or equivalent).
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the Province of Nova Scotia.
  • Strong academic and research background, with a demonstrated potential for future contributions.
