SLCS is seeking a full-time Justice Worker to join our Attendance Centre Program team. As a Justice Worker, you will play a vital role in engaging youth in programming and integration into the community, while providing support to high-risk referrals from youth court.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct interactive programming and facilitate group sessions with youth
- Support night school and summer school programs, and provide effective supports including crisis interventions and community service referrals
- Manage cases, advocate for clients, and use effective written and verbal communication techniques to engage with and support clients
- Collaborate with the team and other service providers to make a positive impact on the lives of youth
- Perform administrative tasks, including daily case note writing, statistics tracking, and case management plan report writing
- University degree or 2-3 year College diploma from an accredited institution
- Standard First Aid + CPR - Level C
- Knowledge of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA)
- Safe Food Handling Certificate (Preferred)
- Valid G class Driver's License
- Proficiency in both official languages of Canada or another secondary language (an asset)
