Justice Worker - Attendance Centre Program Justice Worker - Attendance Centre Program

SLCS is seeking a full-time Justice Worker to join our Attendance Centre Program team. As a Justice Worker, you will play a vital role in engaging youth in programming and integration into the community, while providing support to high-risk referrals from youth court.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct interactive programming and facilitate group sessions with youth
  • Support night school and summer school programs, and provide effective supports including crisis interventions and community service referrals
  • Manage cases, advocate for clients, and use effective written and verbal communication techniques to engage with and support clients
  • Collaborate with the team and other service providers to make a positive impact on the lives of youth
  • Perform administrative tasks, including daily case note writing, statistics tracking, and case management plan report writing
Requirements:
  • University degree or 2-3 year College diploma from an accredited institution
  • Standard First Aid + CPR - Level C
  • Knowledge of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA)
  • Safe Food Handling Certificate (Preferred)
  • Valid G class Driver's License
  • Proficiency in both official languages of Canada or another secondary language (an asset)
