Job Summary
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the operation, including budgeting, financial management, and implementing retail and marketing programs. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with clients and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction
- Lead and develop a team of staff
- Plan and implement menu offerings and merchandising strategies
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance, health, and safety programs
Requirements
- Post-secondary education with at least 5 years of foodservice or related management experience
- Advanced Food Service Training (AFST) and Level 1 and 2 Health and Safety Certification
- Strong experience dealing with labour relations issues
- Proven financial management skills, including ability to control product and labour costs
- Strong catering experience, including hosting large events
- Experience working with branded concepts
- Strong management and organizational skills, capable of motivating and leading associates
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
- Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
