About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Medical Representative to join our Amazon Workplace Health & Safety team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our site manager, Wellness Specialists, and WHS specialist to provide first aid, advise on occupational and non-occupational injuries, and promote health and wellness among our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide triage, prompt first aid, and referral to outside medical providers as needed
  • Minimize employee risk of injury through awareness, education, and proactive engagement
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided to employees
  • Develop first aid care plans for employees recovering from injuries
  • Manage workers' compensation and return-to-work process for employees with work-related injuries
  • Provide daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports
  • Engage with employees and managers to coach on observed at-risk work habits
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment
  • Monitor and ensure proper medical supply inventory
  • Participate in special projects and ad-hoc tasks as assigned
Requirements
  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Successful completion of first aid training course or equivalent
  • Valid Provincial Primary Care Paramedic Certification, Emergency Medical Responder Certification, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification, or Military Medical Technician experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with workers' compensation
  • Certified to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with industrial wellness programs
  • Passion for promoting health and wellness
