bJob Summary/bbrbrThe Amazon Workplace Health & Safety team is seeking an experienced and innovative Onsite Medical Representative to provide tools, resources, and environments that support safe, efficient, healthy behaviors and encourage employees to proactively manage their health and wellbeing. brbrbKey Responsibilities/bbrulliProvide triage, prompt first aid within the scope of your training, and/or referral to outside medical providers, if indicated/liliMinimize the AA risk of injury through awareness, education and proactive engagement/liliMaintain all records of care provided to AAs/liliDevelop a first aid care plan for AAs recovering from an injury, focused on injury improvement, including self-care instructions as needed/liliManage the workers' compensation and return to work process for AAs with work related injuries/liliProvide daily activity logs and end of shift reports/liliSpend frequent time on the warehouse floor to interact and engage with AAs and managers to coach on observed at-risk work habits/liliMaintain a clean and orderly environment/liliMonitor and ensure appropriate medical supply inventory is maintained/liliParticipate in special projects and ad hoc tasks as assigned/liliWilling to be trained to teach First Aid/CPR/AED certification classes/liliWork flexible shifts which could include days, nights, and/or weekends/liliCommunicate effectively/liliDisplay professional behavior/liliMultitask and have exceptional time management skills/liliWork in and embrace an inclusive and diverse atmosphere/liliFollow direction, policy, and procedures as per Amazon and local regulation/liliMaintain composure in emergencies and lead emergency response at the site/li/ulbrbRequirements/bbrulliHigh school or equivalent diploma/liliMust have successfully completed the first aid training course or a first aid examination developed or approved by WorkSafe BC/liliMust have one of the following: Valid Provincial Primary Care Paramedic Certification from the Ministry of Health Emergency Medical Assistants (EMA) Licensing Board; Current valid Emergency Medical Responder Certification from the Emergency Medical Assistants (EMA) Licensing Board; Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) from the British Columbia College of Nurses and midwives (BCCNM); In the last year, six months job experience as a Military Medical Technician (Canadian Armed Forces)/liliExperience with workers' compensation/liliCertified to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training from Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Red Cross/liliProficient in Microsoft Office/liliExperience with an industrial wellness program/liliPassion for promoting health and wellness/liliExperience coaching on body mechanics/liliExperience managing musculoskeletal disorders/liliExperience in ergonomics/liliExperience with federal and province specific regulations/liliProficient in digital recordkeeping/li/ulbrbAbout Amazon/bbrbrAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
