Proposal Coordinator

Valard, a leading utility contractor in Canada, seeks a Proposal Coordinator to support the development of proposals, tenders, and qualifications responses for Transmission, Substation, Distribution, or Telecommunications projects.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. They will work closely with clients, internal departments, and subject matter experts to gather information, develop win strategies, and create high-quality proposal content.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a primary liaison with clients during the bidding stage
  • Coordinating proposal kick-off and review meetings
  • Proofreading proposals to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Ensuring all prepared tenders, proposals, and qualification submissions meet company standards
  • Assisting in developing and implementing win strategies and key messages
  • Coordinating and logging Bid Debriefs and Lessons Learned
  • Creating and updating boiler plate documents, templates, and project profiles
  • Maintaining information in Valard internal systems

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Acting as Client Liaison during contract negotiation
  • Generating Project Award Notifications
  • Assisting in the RFx Turnover process

Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience as a Proposal Coordinator or in a related role
  • Project Management experience and/or training an asset
  • Demonstrated technical writing experience
  • Demonstrated experience working in a schedule-driven environment
