Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) required to provide direct nursing care to patients in a hospice residence setting, assessing physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial needs, and developing and implementing care plans.

Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial needs, and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications, wound care, and other treatments as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in interdisciplinary conferences and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
- Document patient information accurately and timely, including progress notes and care plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing.
- Two years' recent, related medical nursing experience in an acute care facility, including one year recent related experience in a hospice/palliative care environment.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Knowledge of nursing practice as it pertains to hospice palliative/residence patients.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to develop and maintain rapport with patients, families, and caregivers.
- Ability to operate related equipment, including applicable software applications.
