Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Aboriginal, Community Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team in Abbotsford, B.C. as part of our Aboriginal Community Mental Health Services.
About the Role:This is a full-time position that requires the successful candidate to provide clinical mental health nursing services to Aboriginal clients in community programs, residing either on or off reserves. The ideal candidate will work closely with the interprofessional care team to assess clients' mental status, formulate plans of care, implement planned care, and evaluate outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical mental health nursing services to Aboriginal clients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Work collaboratively with the interprofessional care team to develop and implement person-centered care plans.
- Provide education and support to clients and their families on mental health and substance use issues.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local community Aboriginal health/mental services/agencies to enhance and maintain existing services.
- Participate in research and quality improvement activities to identify client care issues and improve practices.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing.
- Two (2) years' recent related experience providing treatment services to individuals with mental health and/or concurrent disorders, including one year of experience working with Aboriginal clients.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage.
