Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Hospice Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at the Hospice Residence. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients, assessing their physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial needs, and developing and implementing individualized care plans.
Responsibilities- Assess and plan nursing care for patients, implementing and evaluating interventions to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Collect and analyze data to inform care decisions, communicating effectively with the healthcare team and patients/families.
- Advocate for patients' rights, dignity, and autonomy, promoting a safe and respectful environment.
- Document patient information accurately and timely, participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and efficient work environment, participating in education and training programs to enhance clinical competence.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing and/or Psychiatric Nursing.
- Two years' recent, related medical nursing experience in an acute care facility, including one year recent related experience in a hospice/palliative care environment.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
