JOB DESCRIPTION

Our League Associates are an essential ingredient to the success of our leagues. They go above and beyond each and every day to ensure 100% of the games are played each and every night.

  • Retention of current players with exceptional customer service (via email, phone, live chat and in-person).
  • Ensuring player satisfaction through player incentive programs
  • Sales of leagues/programs to individuals and captains. Finding creative ways to fill empty space.
  • Assisting with general Player Experience tasks/out reach
  • Execution of leagues/events, ensuring all games run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Assisting with equipment and part-time staff.
  • Helping solve discipline issues that may arise during game play.
  • Dealing with league issues and venue cancellations (following up with players, reschedule games etc.)
  • Assisting with tournaments
  • Assisting with other operations tasks as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

High Energy

  • Extremely upbeat and positive
  • Willingness to approach and chat with our vendors, facility partners etc. and maintain positive relationships with all contacts.

Details, Details, Details

  • Taking care of the little details first makes putting on a big show easy
  • Must have incredible attention to detail and be a quick learner

Go Getter

  • Be confident and motivated to call on and/or meet/work/deal with players, head office staff, and facility staff.
  • Hardworking attitude. You are known for taking initiative.

Think Outside the Box Mentality

  • We're not looking for mediocre and old-school here. We want someone who has fresh ideas, can work on their own without being micromanaged, and is good at developing and maintaining relationships with our venue partners

Perfectly Seasoned

  • We are looking for someone who has past experience in operations and customer service.

Well Spoken & Written

  • You will need to be able to clearly articulate and communicate with the team on a day to day basis.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of sports rules and formats is an asset

Quick On Your Feet

  • Confidence in your ability to take control of a situation with a flair for being resourceful.
  • Strengths in planning, decision making, and creative problem solving.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid G Driver's license is mandatory
  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary college/university program requiring a placement to be completed to graduate

UNIQUE WORKING HOURS

  • This will not be a typical 9am-5pm placement.
  • There will be some evening work (post 5pm) and some weekend hours depending on department needs

COMPENSATION

  • Unpaid Internship in line with current school program
  • Complimentary league play
  • Access to a company vehicle for work related tasks
