Internship Overview

Zurich Canada is seeking enthusiastic post-secondary students for a Finance-focused Internship/Co-op role, aimed at assisting with various projects and initiatives that drive business success.

In this position, you will operate under the guidance of experienced professionals, performing assigned tasks that contribute to your professional development. These roles are part of our summer internship program and are also available to Co-op students.

This Internship/Co-op opportunity is a fantastic way to enhance your knowledge and skills in a nurturing environment where your contributions are valued.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with general project tasks.
  • Support the daily operations of the department, particularly in a Finance-related capacity.
  • Work independently or collaboratively, following guidance from your Manager/Mentor.
  • In certain instances, engage in fieldwork and interact with clients or customers.
  • Some interns may be tasked with conducting in-depth research and organizing records.

Learning Outcomes

  • Gain insights into insurance and business fundamentals.
  • Develop organizational and presentation skills.
  • Enhance collaboration and time management abilities.
  • Build relationship management skills.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a university program, with plans to continue in the upcoming semester, ideally entering your 3rd or 4th year in a Finance-related discipline.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Preferred Skills:

  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities in a customer-centric environment.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication.
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated, punctual, and capable of working independently.
