Join our team in White Rock, B.C. as a Full Time Representative, HR Consulting Services and contribute to the delivery of exceptional HR services to our staff and clients.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing advice and support to staff and managers in the displacement and bumping processes. You will be responsible for maintaining and keeping current labour relations resources, grievance files and arbitration decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice, support and education related to the displacement process to managers, union representatives and displaced/bumped employees.
  • Ensure consistent application of reduction and restructuring processes related to displacements, bumping and transfers.
  • Research, analyze and present bumping options to affected staff members based on seniority, skill set, abilities and in accordance with the collective agreement.
  • Assist HR client partners and managers in developing and preparing labour relations documents, such as grievance responses and investigation scripts.
  • Responsible for inputting all grievances and relevant information to the grievance database.
  • Assist HR client partners in the population of essential service documents in preparation for essential service negotiations with the unions.
  • Assist HR client partners in job action and strike contingency planning.
  • Provide knowledgeable application of the various collective agreements' language as it relates to displacements.
  • Ensure that high-quality HR and displacement/bumping related information is available for decision making.
  • Initiate, maintain and update computerized and manual record-keeping systems, including vacancy tracking, labour relations and grievance tracking.
Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Human Resource Management and two (2) years' recent, related experience, preferably from within the healthcare industry or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
