Pacific Western Transportation, part of the Student Transportation of America (STA) Family of Companies, has an immediate opening for a Learning Management System (LMS) Coordinator. This is a remote position based in Alberta, with the ability to travel to Calgary or Edmonton to attend meetings as required.

The LMS Coordinator will be responsible for organizing, planning, and assisting in the development of STA's Training program, processes and course materials based on the guidelines set by the Department(s). The individual will be responsible for gathering training needs from each department, maintaining the LMS, and implementing the courses to ensure consistent training, execution, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

LMS Management

  • Content Management - upload course content, publish, format, and maintain standards and consistency of course content within the LMS
  • User Administration - upload users, system integrations, user assignments, create learning paths and curriculums, create course evaluations and assessments
  • Reporting - track course completions, grades, compliance, system activity, course evaluations, and communicate to Management
  • Technical Support - act as primary liaison between field and departments for LMS support. Provide end-users and administrators with the appropriate level of system training and support.

Training and Development

  • Collaborate with Regional Safety Directors, Regional Fleet Directors, Regional HR Directors and Leadership to conduct regular training needs assessments to identify gaps and areas for improvement and curate course content
  • Coordinate workshops, training, and leadership development programs
  • Source and coordinate with third-party experts and/or subject matter experts and third-party vendors related to specific training or development needs
  • Support the design, development, and implementation of online, facilitated, or blended training materials

Training Analytics

  • Process KPI data to identify training needs, knowledge gaps and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain records and provide reports as needed in support of Training Department KPIs.

Travel may be required, based on business needs

Education & Experience:

  • 2-3 years' experience administering learning management systems or similar technologies
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Secondary education in HR, business, instructional design, adult education, or related preferred
  • Experience in adult education, instructional design and curriculum development preferred

Skills:

  • Expertise in LMS administration and system support. Proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS SharePoint, and advanced skills in MS Excel.
  • Strong Technical aptitude and the ability to learn and understand software applications and perform tasks quickly and accurately.
  • Very strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Very strong attention to detail.
  • Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, work in a fast-paced environment, and be adaptable to change.
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal clients at all levels.
