We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Order Desk Clerk to join our team in Cambridge. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing customer quotations, resolving order issues, and ensuring proper inventory is maintained for existing and upcoming orders.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Receive and respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, ensuring prompt and courteous service.
  • Work with key accounts to resolve customer issues and develop strong relationships.
  • Prepare and process customer orders using our ERP system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Utilize our ERP system to manage pricing and inventory levels, and communicate with warehouse staff to confirm inventory on hand and order status.
  • Monitor reorder reports to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained to meet customer order requirements.
  • Communicate with various departments, including sales, purchasing, and credit, to ensure seamless order processing.
  • Review sales targets and open order reports to ensure sales goals are on track.
  • Assist with product sourcing and completing RFQs for customers.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a fast-paced environment in buy/sell distribution business.
  • Post-high school courses in customer service, sales, or business.
  • Excellent multitasking skills and ability to work with constantly changing priorities.
  • Customer service focus and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and utilize basic mathematical calculations.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Word and Excel.
