Are you ready to apply your knowledge in the real world? We are hiring a Co-op Engineer for the Fall Term with our Enterprise Asset Management, AM Operations team.

What you'll do:

We'll treat you as one of our own and your key areas of responsibility will include:


• You will support the digitization of Environmental compliance checks in for NS Power's Hydro Operations including requirements definition, solution design and roll-out.


• You will support the communication and visualization of Hydro Environmental compliance through the preparation of dashboards and displays, utilizing numerous industrial operational software solutions such as GE APM, and OSISoft PI.


• You will support the roll-out of an ongoing initiative for upgraded tools for water management and spill reporting.


• You will support other similar initiatives for the digitization of information, trending and analysis for other business areas such as Substation Operations and Telecom.


• You will be required to work closely with members of the Enterprise Asset Management teams, Hydro operations and Environmental Services to share information, and seek Subject Matter Expert input.


• You will engage in the production of training materials to support roll-out and sustainment.


• You will be responsible for personal safety, and that of co-workers by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupation Health and Safety Rules and Regulations, and NS Power's Safety Program.

Who you are:


• You are an engineering student with strong analytical and organizational skills.


• You are comfortable working in new software solutions.


• You demonstrate strong communication and relationship skills.


• Familiarity working with operational data, technologies and/or data visualization software would be considered an asset.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite will be considered an asset (e.g., Excel, SharePoint)


• A valid driver's license would be preferred.
