We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our Property Management team. We are filling a key leadership position - the Director, Realty and Capital Asset Planning. This position is responsible for leading a team that takes a client-focused approach to managing real property capital assets, leasing, and planning workspaces for the Yukon government.

We're looking for a dynamic individual with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, who is also a strategic planner with a proven ability to support a diverse team in delivering outstanding service. In this role, you will lead a branch, fostering innovation and upholding the highest standards of safety.

The Property Management Division of Highways and Public Works builds, maintains, and manages Yukon government buildings, ensuring safe workplaces and public access to services. We oversee planning, design, project management, maintenance, security, cleaning, and groundskeeping across the Yukon. Our diverse team includes tradespeople, analysts, laborers, administrators and more, offering a wide range of exciting career opportunities.

Essential Qualifications

Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.

  • Experience leading a team, including coaching and mentoring staff, fostering employee engagement, managing performance, and leading through change.
  • Experience leading a program, including providing operational and strategic recommendations to senior management, developing departmental plans, corporate policies and setting annual objectives.
  • Experience in leading financial activities, including budgeting, expenditure forecasting, lifecycle cost analysis, and risk management.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, including negotiating, consulting, and building partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Post-secondary education in real property management, trades certification or a relevant discipline is considered an asset.

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
