Job Title: Corporate Financial Management Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Financial Systems Branch as a Corporate Financial Management Director. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction in the formulation, development, and implementation of corporate financial management business processes and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, implement, maintain, monitor, and evaluate all corporate financial management information systems and projects for the Government of Yukon.
  • Develop and implement strategic objectives for the FMIS team.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on matters relating to the functions and features of corporate financial systems.
  • Work through the life cycle of small to large-scale corporate financial systems projects.
  • Manage the branch's financial resources and carry out procurement activities.
Requirements:
  • Considerable experience leading an operational IT unit, including leading, mentoring, and coaching team members, managing capital and O&M budgets, and developing service delivery strategies.
  • Considerable progressive experience leading and managing small and large-scale IT projects and business process improvements from project feasibility studies to evaluation, preferably in a finance setting.
  • Experience working with financial information systems and applying proper governance and compliance is an asset.
  • Experience carrying out procurement activities for system projects and support, ideally in a government setting, is an asset.
