The Yukon Government is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Director - Operations. As a key member of the Department of Education, the Director of Operations will play a crucial role in directing the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing evaluation of the program areas of facilities and property management relating to Yukon schools, environmental stewardship, student transportation, and health and safety for the department.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in financial management, project management, facilities, and asset management, as well as experience leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team of professionals. They will also have experience engaging with and achieving positive outcomes with diverse clients including internal and external stakeholders and professional service personnel.

The Director of Operations will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of the operations unit, including the planning, coordination, and implementation of departmental policies and programs. They will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including government partners, community groups, and industry representatives.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills, professionalism, and team building skills. They will have the ability to communicate effectively, manage multiple priorities, and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
