Headquartered in Atlanta, GA, our storage operations are currently spread across North America, and expanding as we develop, build, and acquire best-in-class cold storage facilities to serve our customers' needs.

What we're looking for:

As an Owner/Operator (5-Ton Reefer) with Envision Cold, you will provide an essential service transporting food products to various facilities in and around the Greater Vancouver area.

Based on business needs, you will typically work Monday - Saturday with a start time between 5:00 - 6:30AM daily. This role requires that you OWN and OPERATE the truck, which must meet the requirements noted below. Please review in detail before applying.

What you'll do (including, but not limited to):

  • Transport refrigerated food products and cargo to and from specified locations as instructed by company dispatchers.
  • Strategically plan travel routes to ensure that all deliveries are completed in a timely manner.
  • Review dispatchers' instructions before deliveries to prevent any errors or miscommunications.
  • Perform inspections of the designated truck before and after each delivery to ensure that it is mechanically sound.
  • Promptly inform management of any mechanical issues that render the designated truck unroadworthy.
  • Maintain a logbook with an accurate account of the number of hours worked, rest periods, and mileage covered.
  • Submit cargo documents to customers and obtain customer signatures to confirm receipt of the correct cargo.
  • Notify dispatch of any damaged cargo.
  • Supervise the safe loading and unloading of cargo.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 1-year minimum commercial driving with experience navigating the Downtown Vancouver area.
  • Valid Class 5 Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Completion of a tractor-trailer driver training program is encouraged.
  • Physically able to assist with unloading product into coolers as needed.
  • Sound knowledge of road safety regulations, loading and unloading procedures, as well as weight restrictions.
  • Experience and responsibility for truck maintenance.
  • The ability to utilize GPS systems, road maps, and routing software.
  • The ability to concentrate for extended periods.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills including strong spoken and written English.
  • Positive attitude and team player.

  • Minimum 2010+ Reefer Unit (Strong, Well Maintained & Reliable)
  • Minimum 2010+ Power Tailgate (Strong, Well Maintained & Reliable)
  • Minimum 24 ft Box Length
  • Minimum 88 Inch Box Door Height
  • Pallet Jack, Load Bars, Hand Dolly Cart (Strong, Well Maintained & Reliable)
