About the location:
Embrace the alpine warmth surrounded by pristine Canadian wilderness In Whistler, home to North America's largest ski resort, experience the best of alpine living through world-class ski runs, epic mountain experiences and an upbeat village. When the snow melts, the area becomes a playground for mountain bikers, zip-liners, hikers and adventurers. After an adventurous day, tuck into a meal at SIDECUT Steakhouse, where innovative creations match the seasons, or enjoy the après vibe in the warmth of Braidwood Tavern. Looking to recharge? Visit the Spa or take a dip in our heated pool, with a spectacular backdrop of the mountains and an invigorating dose of fresh alpine air.
About the role:
The Steward supports our Food and Beverage outlets in providing award-winning service through attention to detail, ensuring the highest level of cleanliness. This role is part of the Food & Beverage, reporting into the Stewarding manager.
Hourly Wage: $ $24.00 plus $2 per hour shift premium for overnights.
What you will do:
- Clean and sanitize china, glass, and silver using a dish machine
- Maintain the sanitation of all major kitchen equipment, culinary and food and beverage facilities
- Clean and sanitize all pots, pans, and kitchen utensils
- Maintain the silver polishing program
- Utilize and handle cleaning supplies and chemicals in a safe manner
- Capable of pushing, pulling, and lifting objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Preferred qualifications include prior experience in stewarding or cleaning.
- Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant setting is desirable.
- Demonstrates the ability to quickly and positively establish rapport with a positive outlook.
- Possesses excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in Canada.
- Access to affordable shared staff accommodation.
