About the Role:
Join ATCO as a Land Agent, where you'll be at the heart of our operations, facilitating customer service applications and securing the land rights essential for constructing and operating Natural Gas facilities. This is your chance to play a key role in energy infrastructure development, directly interacting with landowners, government agencies, and legal representatives to shape the landscape of energy delivery.
What You Get to Do:
- Expertly negotiate rights-of-way and land acquisitions to support the construction and operation of Natural Gas facilities, ensuring ATCO's projects move forward smoothly.
- Develop and apply a deep understanding of ATCO's Natural Gas systems and the regulations that govern our operations, ensuring all projects comply with company policies and standards.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, providing crucial input on the routing of rural main extensions and other significant projects.
- Serve as a primary liaison between ATCO and various stakeholders, including landowners, government agencies, and third parties, to facilitate project development.
- Manage and resolve construction-related damage claims, securing agreements that protect both ATCO and the property owners involved.
What You Bring:
- Grade 12 Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- A related post-secondary diploma as determined by the Alberta Land Agents Registrar is required.
- A valid Alberta Land Agent License
- Qualifies as a Commissioner for Oaths.
- A valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license,
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively and provide top-notch customer service.
- A strategic problem solver, capable of making informed decisions under pressure, with a comprehensive understanding of government regulations and natural gas system construction.
