This position requires expert negotiation skills to secure rights-of-way and land acquisitions, ensuring ATCO's projects move forward smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate rights-of-way and land acquisitions to support the construction and operation of Natural Gas facilities.
  • Develop and apply a deep understanding of ATCO's Natural Gas systems and the regulations that govern our operations.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers to provide crucial input on the routing of rural main extensions and other significant projects.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between ATCO and various stakeholders, including landowners, government agencies, and third parties.
  • Manage and resolve construction-related damage claims, securing agreements that protect both ATCO and the property owners involved.

Requirements:

  • Grade Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
  • A related post-secondary diploma as determined by the Alberta Land Agents Registrar is required.
  • A valid Alberta Land Agent License.
  • Qualifies as a Commissioner for Oaths.
  • A valid Alberta Class driver's license.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively and provide top-notch customer service.
  • A strategic problem solver, capable of making informed decisions under pressure, with a comprehensive understanding of government regulations and natural gas system construction.
