Summary: Develop and maintain relationships with dealers and manufacturers to drive profitable growth and customer satisfaction in the Dealer Finance Centre portfolio.

The Area Sales Manager contributes to the profitable growth of the Dealer Finance Centre portfolio by developing new and maintaining existing Dealer and Manufacturer Indirect Retail business. The incumbent is responsible for achieving business development and customer satisfaction goals for an assigned market area, while ensuring related expenses are controlled within authorized budgets.

The incumbent must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of dealer finance programs, products, policies, and services, including a working knowledge of systems and platforms. They must also have a strong knowledge of the Automotive Finance marketplace in Canada and a detailed knowledge of key prospects, major customers, and competitive positioning within the assigned market area.

The Area Sales Manager will:

  • Develop a marketing and calling program with assigned accounts and new prospects to reach established business development targets.
  • Execute an aggressive marketing and calling program on designated customers and prospects within the assigned market area.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of effective operations for the processing of dealer finance arrangements.
  • Build and maintain a high market profile in the assigned market area with both internal and external contacts.
  • Ensure all aspects of assigned relationships receive ongoing attention to maintain, improve, grow, and retain the relationship.

The incumbent will work in a variety of remote offices and hotel facilities, and may undertake extensive travel within the assigned geographic market area. They must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
