Planner (Fixed Equipment) - Join Our Team Join Our Team as a Planner (Fixed Equipment)

We are seeking a skilled Planner (Fixed Equipment) to join our Maintenance Planning and Control Team at Creighton Mine in Sudbury, Ontario.

About the Role

This is a permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 8-hours, dayshift. As a Planner (Fixed Equipment), you will be responsible for facilitating the continuous improvement of the Fixed Equipment Maintenance team's performance, through the effective use of established processes and procedures.

  • Adhere to maintenance business processes as outlined in Maintenance Planning and Control (MPC) by using approved systems and tools.
  • Execute the "Planning" element of the process for all types of work orders, systematic and non-systematic maintenance, which includes shutdown and external resource-related work.
  • Manage backlog to ensure work orders are planned with emphasis on safety and based on priority and required end date.
  • Coordinate and facilitate with the Scheduler to ensure all required planning/scheduling routines are followed.
  • Monitor KPIs and actively strive toward plant targets. Work within assigned budgets and escalate to management should a budget be exceeded.
  • Identify and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful execution of the "work schedule" for completion by the Required End Date.
  • Establish and maintain work relationships with the various key plant stakeholders.
  • Relief supervisor as necessary, holding the crew accountable for safe behavior, housekeeping, teamwork, and professionalism.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Grade 12 completed or GED equivalency.
  • A College Diploma or University Degree in a related industrial field or a University Degree in a related engineering discipline.
  • Valid Heavy Equipment trade certificate for the province of Ontario (preferred).
  • Generic Supervisor Common Core (preferred).

Additionally, we require:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working within SAP and the Prometheus add-on as a Planner or Scheduler.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading crews.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the trades.
