Position Overview

We are currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Planner/Scheduler for our operations.

  • Role Identification: Maintenance Planner/Scheduler

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this role is to strategize and organize maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment functionality in line with the operational objectives.

Key tasks include:

  • Maintain comprehensive records for each equipment unit;
  • Develop and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to planning activities;
  • Foster relationships with internal teams and equipment manufacturers;
  • Formulate and revise maintenance schedules considering production timelines with a forward-looking 12-month perspective;
  • Identify essential parts and supplies for long-term procurement to ensure timely availability;
  • Oversee the management of key parts and supplies to support maintenance activities;
  • Regularly update the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) with accurate inventory data;
  • Propose updates to the Bill of Materials based on field feedback;
  • Collaborate with procurement teams for supplier evaluation and selection;
  • Prioritize safety and environmental integrity during planning processes;
  • Assist in preparing the annual maintenance budget based on routine and corrective maintenance estimates;
  • Work with the maintenance team to monitor equipment performance and adjust maintenance plans accordingly;
  • Engage in reliability methodologies to enhance maintenance strategies;
  • Adhere to all company policies, including safety and environmental standards;
  • Conduct equipment inspections to accurately assess required maintenance;
  • Estimate time and materials needed for maintenance tasks;
  • Coordinate with inventory management to ensure maintenance stock accuracy;
  • Develop time standards for recurring maintenance tasks;
  • Manage maintenance resource capacity planning;
  • Prepare and track work orders through to completion;
  • Facilitate scheduling meetings with maintenance and operations teams;
  • Analyze accident documentation related to maintenance activities;
  • Optimize work scheduling to minimize overtime.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in maintenance planning or scheduling;
  • Experience in a supervisory role within maintenance or operations is advantageous;
  • Possession of a licensed trades certificate in Mobile, Electrical, or Fixed Plant is preferred;
  • Strong communication skills across all organizational levels;
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software;
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (e.g., JDE) is a plus.
