Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Business Analyst to join our team. You will work closely with Product Managers to create and manage epics, user stories, and tasks, ensuring alignment with the product scope and roadmap. Collaborating with engineering, you will develop delivery timelines and provide technical options for solutions. Key responsibilities include facilitating Agile ceremonies, maintaining Jira, and managing backlog grooming with cross-functional teams. You will act as a product advocate, provide technical delivery oversight, ensure clear communication between product and engineering, and monitor team performance. Your expertise in Agile best practices will enhance our processes and drive successful product delivery.

Role Responsibilities

  • Work with the Product Managers to create epics, user stories and tasks aligning with the defined scope of the product
  • Working with engineering to understand estimated timelines to create a delivery timeline
  • Work with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements for story writing based off of the product roadmap and direction from the Product Manager
  • Work closely with the development team to provide technical options as solutions.
  • Collaborate with the development team lead to map out the solution design, which includes data modeling, business logic, and a presentation layer
  • Ensure development follows timelines and milestones based on consistent discussion between Product Manager's and Technical leads

  • Provide clarification between product and engineering when questions arise regarding development work or product features
  • Manage ticketing of bugs complete with requirements review and surfacing them to the Product Manager for prioritzation

  • Maintain Jira as a source of truth for the engineering team
  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to prioritize and groom the product backlog, ensuring user stories and tasks are well-defined and aligned with business goals.
  • Remove impediments and blockers that hinder the team's progress, working proactively to address challenges and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Monitor team performance and metrics, using data-driven insights to identify areas for enhancement and driving actions to optimize team efficiency and delivery.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, openness, and trust, encouraging a safe environment for healthy conflict and constructive feedback.
  • Provide guidance on Agile best practices, tools, and techniques, helping the team improve their Agile processes over time.
  • Collaborate with other Product Analyst's and Agile coaches to share experiences, insights, and best practices across the organization.
  • Contribute to the broader Agile community within the company, supporting initiatives to enhance Agile practices and methodologies.
