Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health and Substance Use Services, Ipu

We are seeking a Part Time Clinical Psychologist to provide psychological services to clients experiencing acute mental illness. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, at least 5 years of experience in psycho-diagnostic assessment/testing, and current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia. The role requires providing comprehensive psychological assessments, conducting interventions, and collaborating with physicians and other care providers to develop treatment plans. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining effective working relationships, communicating effectively, and contributing to the development of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. The position is based in Surrey, B.C. and requires a Class 5 Driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of developmental theories, family and social dynamics, and psychological treatment modalities. They will also have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, communicate effectively, and contribute to the development of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. The role requires a strong understanding of legal and ethical issues related to mental health certification, as well as the ability to implement guidelines, decision support tools, and protocols. The successful candidate will also be responsible for participating in program evaluation, program planning, and program implementation, as well as participating in clinical research and supervising psychology students/interns.
