Must Haves:

  • 2-4 years relevant Customer Segments, Strategy, Partnership roles in Retail banking or similar financial service industries
  • Candidate should have previous experience in Segments, Strategy or Partnerships (in order of this priority) - A mix would be ideal.
  • Retail/personal banking experience is required for this role (Canadian banking experience preferred, but strong profiles with relevant segment / strategy experience in Banking from outside N.A. can also be considered)
  • Demonstrable track record of negotiating and closing partnership deals in a customer/partner facing role preferred
  • Experience with customer segmentation, customer intelligence and market research
  • Comfortable analyzing data and with data visualization tools (ie PowerBI reports)
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint


Plusses:

  • Experience managing partnerships with Universities/Colleges
  • Experience with student and/or international student customer segments


Day-to-day:

  • Develop Strategies: Create growth strategies for partnerships with colleges and universities to attract new-to-BMO international students.
  • Manage Relationships: Enhance and manage relationships with existing partners.
  • Identify Compelling Partnerships: Identify and develop partnerships that support student segment growth and drive activation.
  • Oversee Performance: Ensure partnership performance aligns with business goals.
  • Create Value Propositions: Develop value propositions considering customer needs, competitive landscape, and profitability.
  • Evaluate Competitors: Continuously assess competitor group banking programs.
  • Analyze Data: Collaborate with marketing and analytics teams to identify key drivers for student conversion, retention, and cross-sell.
  • Innovate and Communicate: Drive innovation in segment programs and articulate campus partnership strategies to stakeholders.
