Responsibilities


Assisting in Trial Preparation

  • Drafting requests for pilot and production trials
  • Preparing necessary ingredients for pilot formulation tests, such as milk, bacterial cultures, powders, etc.
  • Participating in trial planning meetings


Executing Pilot and Industrial Trials

  • Actively participating in pilot and production trials, including milk fermentation, temperature control, culture addition, and fermentation time monitoring.
  • Preparing base mixtures and fruit preparations.
  • Conducting texture, taste, pH, viscosity, and stability tests on developing products.
  • Testing various production conditions (temperature, fermentation duration, fruit addition, etc.) to assess their effects on the final product.
  • Recording and documenting analysis results in detailed reports for tracking progress


Managing Laboratory Equipment

  • Ensuring the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment used for testing, such as refractometers, viscometers, and precision scales


Project Follow-up

  • Monitoring trial progress and regularly reporting updates to R&D project managers.
  • Participating in project review meetings to discuss test results, challenges encountered, and necessary adjustments.
  • Assisting in analyzing experimental data collected during trials to draw useful conclusions for product optimization.


Documentation and Reporting Assistance

  • Maintaining records of completed trials, parameters used, and obtained results.
  • Writing technical reports detailing product development steps, test results, and recommendations for modifications or improvements.


Other

  • Tasks:Assisting with the shipping or reception of samples


Required skills

  • College diploma in dairy product processing technology or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in dairy product development.
  • Knowledge of fermentation processes, dairy ingredients, and formulation techniques is an asset.
  • Bilingual (French and English)
