Administrative Assistant

One of our recruiters at an oil and gas company has tasked us with finding an Administrative Assistant to work a part time 12-month contract in Norman Wells, NT.
MAIN FUNCTIONS
Provides administrative support to a department or individual. Duties may include: typing, filing, answering phones, scheduling, calendaring, record keeping, coordinating meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies, and sorting/distributing mail. May work on special projects, including recording, compiling, retrieving, reporting, and analyzing information. Must be able to multitask and prioritize. Strong communication and organizational skills are required. Proficiency with MS Office is essential. The position will receive direction and support.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-3 years of administrative experience
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email systems
- Strong administrative coordination abilities
- Customer service experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
ON-SITE ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES
- General admin support (photocopying, laminating, shredding)
- Mailroom duties (sending/receiving documents/supplies via mail, courier, or charter)
- Materials and supplies ordering & coordination (office furniture, ergo equipment, stationary, trinket room verification)
- Emergency response support (room organization, assisting ERT members as needed)
- Event coordination
- Printer/copier support
- Onsite IT support (basic troubleshooting)
- Hiring support (job postings, interview scheduling)
- Community events coordination
- Confidential records management & filing (serving as the file room SME)
- Supporting Leadership with administrative needs
