Production Control Supervisor

The Production Control Supervisor reports directly to the Materials Manager or designate and is responsible for developing and maintaining the manufacturing plan in the ERP System. The role will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring Operational Metrics and advising the Plant Manager.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. Keep production priorities current, complete, and accurate
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure all labour, material, and operational inputs can support the aligned schedule
  • Generate plant forecasting of load and both short term and long-term available capacity.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance departments to resolve variances to the ERP
  • Ensure a production schedule is issued as required.
  • Rectify and/or reconcile differences and inaccuracies that have to do with shipment and deliveries to customers
  • Lead forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments.
  • Performs other related duties, as required.


QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration is an asset, or equivalent industry experience with background in planning, supply chain, inventory management and other related fields.


EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Experience in developing a complex manufacturing system from basic to exceptional with multiple work centers, multiple products and multiple product flows.
  • Minimum of 10 years related work experience developing and operating a complex manufacturing system.
  • Demonstrated ability with software programs related to scheduling and linking programs.
  • Experience working in aerospace industry is preferred
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment, processes and projects.


SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Assertive written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Implementation experience with scheduling system.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ERP Scheduling Systems and Processes.
  • Attention to detail is critical.
  • Creative thinker and goal oriented.
  • Schedule activities within a manufacturing environment.
  • Conduct analysis, prepare reports, problem solve.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making ability.
  • Customer and relationship building focus.
