The Role:
We are looking for a candidate who has experience in programming different hardware systems, including PLCs, motion controllers, HMI interfaces, with practical knowledge of communication protocols. The ideal candidate is passionate about programming industrial machinery, developing functional and creative human-machine interfaces, and developing industrial controls solutions. They are intellectually curious to explore new areas of technology. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in the area of industrial automation and learn about new trends of technology in this industry.
Responsibilities:
- Developing code for PLC/motion control platforms such as Rockwell, Bosch, etc.
- Testing, configuring and integrating fast, precise, and synchronized motion control solutions and other ancillary devices and actuators such as hydraulic and pneumatic systems, safety devices, sensors etc.
- Developing and deploying user interface platforms such as HMIs.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical or similar fields.
- Understanding of PLC integration, sensor applications, machine interface protocols, HMI building etc.
- Strong understanding and experience of working with factory-floor data networking and machine communications such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.
- Experience in programming servo drives and programmable motion controllers.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision with a requirement to highlight problems and help in finding solutions.
- Keen to learn new technologies and explore new ways to apply them.
- Effective communicator with other team members, who contributes to the success of the team.
Assets:
- Experience in the field of Advanced Manufacturing disciplines that may include: Industry 4.0, Smart Factory, Robotics, etc.
- Familiarity with designing and controlling servomotors and integrating multi-axis motion.
- Relevant experience in precision motion and positioning control.
- Experience in industrial communication and data collection from systems such as sensors, controllers, and industrial systems.
