About the role

The successful candidate will work as part of a team with a Senior Account Manager and other Account Managers to assist with various client service activities. Work in a safe manner in accordance with the ALS Health and Safety Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out login checks for all files logged in (including verifying account numbers, client contacts, sample identifications, dates/times, job reference numbers, PO’s, SPO’s, COC attachments, lab products, special reporting requirements, etc.);
  2. Adding/updating login qualifiers on work orders;
  3. Updating/creating account notes;
  4. Tracking of lost, missing, archived, or ‘on hold’ samples;
  5. Assisting with invoicing where required (including invoice corrections, monthly invoicing, etc);
  6. Prepare/enter client bottle requests for Shipping;
  7. Miscellaneous filing of client information (e-mails, etc);
  8. Maintain and update client account information (i.e. contacts, addresses, locations, etc.);
  9. Shipping confirmation (i.e. ensure new shipments & return shipments have been sent and/or received);
  10. Process requests for information;
  11. Coordinate sublet tests, verifying statuses, entering sublet data, attaching sublet data to final report;
  12. Data entry for any client provided or field parameters;
  13. Assist with the preparation and coordination of due lists for Account Managers;
  14. Assist with reviewing the status of data (i.e. rush, recheck, missing, held, etc.);
  15. Assist in Sample Login/Layout as required;
  16. Assist in Sample Reception as required;
  17. Use correct methods in accordance with the established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality;
  18. Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures;
  19. Other duties as assigned.

About you:

  1. Positive and energetic outlook;
  2. Demonstrated time management skills;
  3. Proven ability to work under pressure;
  4. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently;
  5. Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal);
  6. Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Word and Excel.

Required Qualifications:

  1. High school graduation required;
  2. Some environmental laboratory experience would be an asset;
  3. Training will be provided.

Physical Demands:

  1. Ability to stand for a full shift;
  2. Ability to sit at a desk and do general office work, which includes periodic sedentary responsibilities.

  1. At the time of this posting, the estimate pay is $19.89/hr CAD. Individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and/or training.
