Job Responsibilities
  1. Implement assigned projects, monitor and drive overall project performance including schedule, budget, quality and safety.
  2. Review project drawings, specifications, and reports for coordination between disciplines.
  3. Develop complete estimates on selected projects consisting of site visits, quantity take-off, pricing, and presentation of the estimate for Management’s review.
  4. Contact trades and suppliers regarding tender invitations, pricing, addenda and tender/bid closings and prepare detailed tender/bid analysis for each scope of work.
  5. Prepare project reports weekly, monthly, and as required to update the stakeholders on the status of the project.
  6. Coordinate procurement process, draft and prepare contracts, and track changes and additions to contractual agreements.
  7. General and administrative duties as required by the construction team.
  8. Liaise with the project team, clients, consultants and trade contractors/sub-contractors.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Minimum of 5 years of progressive construction experience as a project coordinator, senior project coordinator, or junior project manager with a general contractor (Buildings) or builder-developer in British Columbia.
  2. Post-secondary education (University Degree or Technology Diploma) in Construction Management, Building Engineering, or Civil Engineering.
  3. Familiarity with commercial, multi-family residential, and industrial construction.
  4. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  5. Excellent knowledge of the Lower Mainland and BC construction industry, and BC Building Code.
  6. Must be proficient in Procore.
  7. Strong technical skills and computer proficiency in MS Project, MS Office (Outlook, Word and PowerPoint) and strong skills in Excel.
