Duration: 12 months with conversion or extension possibility

Schedule: Toronto, Hybrid - In office 2x weekly, Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm


MUST HAVE:

10+ years experience

2.) Cultural governance


Qualifications:

• Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or data analysis, ideally within the financial industry.

• Technical Skills:

Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and familiarity with data governance frameworks and platforms.

• Business Acumen:

Demonstrated ability to align data governance initiatives with business strategy and drive organizational improvements.

• Presentation Skills:

Strong ability to convey complex data insights to senior management and non-technical stakeholders, with clear and compelling presentations.

• Communication Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

• Knowledge of Regulatory Standards:

Deep understanding of financial data regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, Basel, BCBS 239) is highly desirable.


Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience implementing data governance in a financial services setting.

• Certification in Data Governance (e.g., DAMA, DCAM) or Data Management is an asset.

• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau
