Job Title: Data Governance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team in London or Toronto.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with our clients to create a Proof of Concept (POC) that aligns with their metadata strategy and establishes the cataloging and business glossary, tagging, and metadata necessary to meet industry standards.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures;
  • Analyze and resolve complex data-related issues;
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions;
  • Design and implement metadata management systems;
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through regular audits and reporting.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders;
  • Experience with Microsoft products, including Excel, Purview, and Databricks;
  • Knowledge of data governance tools, such as Collibra;
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Estimated salary range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
